Tyson Snook is the President and CEO of Black Sand Capital Group, a planning-first financial ecosystem serving business owners, affluent families, and professionals navigating complex capital decisions regarding tax mitigation, risk management, and multi-generational legacy planning.

Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Tyson values independence, creativity, multi-discipline approach, and long-term partnerships. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his daughter traveling, attending live sporting or music events, and enjoying everything the PNW lifestyle has to offer.

Tyson’s work is anchored in a clear philosophy: tax efficiency, protection-first design, and integrated capital coordination. Under his leadership, Black Sand Capital Group operates through specialized divisions that span business advisory and exit planning, insurance and retirement strategy, lending, real estate advisory, investment coordination, and private family office services — structured to provide clarity, continuity, and a high standard of execution.

In addition to leading Black Sand, Tyson serves as a national consultant to financial professionals, coaching advisors and firms on retirement planning, advanced life insurance design, tax diversification, and estate and legacy conservation strategies. His focus is helping professionals elevate from transactional work to durable planning models that better serve clients over time.

Tyson leads Black Sand with a long horizon — focused on helping clients protect what they’ve built, make confident capital decisions, and carry intent forward across generations.

Kimberly Martinez

VP, Life Insurance Strategy

Kimberly Martinez is a Financial Strategist with Black Sand Capital Group, where she helps individuals, families, and business owners navigate complex financial decisions with clarity and confidence. Her approach emphasizes thoughtful planning, education, and strategic protection, ensuring each client’s financial structure is aligned with their long-term objectives and evolving needs.

Kimberly specializes in advanced planning for high-income earners, business owners, and high-net-worth individuals, with a focus on protection-first life insurance strategies, tax-efficient planning, business succession, and legacy preservation.

As a Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) member, Kimberly is recognized among the top professionals in her field for her performance, professionalism, and commitment to serving her clients at the highest level.

Outside of her work, Kimberly enjoys traveling and exploring new places, along with spending time with family and close friends. She values meaningful connection and brings that same level of intentionality and care to the clients she serves.

In addition to his accomplishments in insurance, John E. founded Raw Brahma Foods LLC, where he applied his entrepreneurial spirit and strategic vision. As a member agent at Sound Pacific Resources, John E. continues to excel, known for his strong leadership, ability to train high-performing teams, and deep industry knowledge — receiving the Century Club Award in 2019 and 2020.

Beyond his professional life, John E. is a dedicated father to his 7-year-old son, Ramsey, who is his whole world. Growing up snowboarding, he has a deep passion for the mountains and enjoys spending time on the slopes whenever possible. Lisa Tawney

VP, Real Estate

Lisa was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and has spent over two decades building a career grounded in integrity, education, and long-term relationships. While the PNW will always be home, she works with clients across the United States and maintains strong connections with professionals and investors worldwide. Outside of her professional work, Lisa values family, community, and continuous learning, principles that guide both her life and her business.

Licensed in Washington and Idaho, Lisa brings broad experience across a wide range of real estate transactions, including residential, commercial, land, and business-related opportunities. She is thoughtful, well-prepared, and deeply committed to understanding each client’s goals before offering guidance. Her approach is calm, informed, and intentional, with a focus on clarity, sound decision-making, and meaningful outcomes.

With over 25 years of global operating and leadership experience, Divo Daniel Catozzo helps business owners maximize value, prepare for exit, and successfully sell their companies. Having lived and worked in New York, Hong Kong, London, and throughout the U.S., Divo has led, scaled, and advised businesses across a wide range of industries.

Most importantly, Divo is a former business owner who has done it himself. After acquiring, aggressively growing, and ultimately selling his own company, he understands firsthand what it takes to position a business for a successful exit — operationally, financially, and strategically. Today, he partners with owners to improve profitability, strengthen fundamentals, and guide them through the sale process with clarity and confidence.

Divo holds an MBA in Finance and International Business and brings a practical, results-driven approach to every engagement, focused on helping owners achieve financial independence through a well-executed business sale.

The Foothills of Morrison, Colorado, is where Divo, his wife Kim, son Cooper, and rescue pup CoCo call home. When he isn’t behind his desk, Divo is out enjoying all things Colorado with his family — hiking, skiing, snowboarding, and camping.
